COMING TO INDIE – READ THIS

General

Tomorrow you will be joining us at INDIE16, please read this e-mail as it will help make your arrival at the event as enjoyable and as smooth as possible.

OVER 18s ID Requirements

We strongly recommend that you bring a Garda Age Card if you look younger than 21. A passport will be accepted but we do not recommend that you bring one to a festival! A drivers license will only be accepted if it is a full license and is in perfect condition. Photocopies of documents will not be accepted.

Alcohol Policy

The policy is 24 cans or 1L of spirits of the equivalent in wine etc or half and half of each. Alcohol re-entry on Saturday will be limited but a common sense approach will be used. We want everyone toe have a good time, so enjoy alcohol responsibly and don’t be THAT GUY!!

 

Directions

Indiependence is located on the Dublin road just outside of Mitchelstown. Mitchelstown is easily accessed from the M8 Motorway from Cork & Dublin and via the R513 from Limerick, all directions are on our website.

Once you get close to INDIE16, road signs will direct you to where you need to go. Please be aware that there are three different locations covering Weekend Ticket Parking, Day Ticket Parking and a location for Drop Offs, Taxis & Buses.

 

Parking

Weekend Camping Tickets

Weekend Camping Ticket holders can park in Camping Car Park and access the site via Gate 1 as marked on the attached map. Weekend Parking is €10 per car payable upon entry. Please car pool and use public transport where possible. Please observe a 5kph speed limit in car parks and take instructions from stewards. Once parked here, please do not move your vehicle until it is time to go home, exit restrictions will be in place at times of busy incoming traffic.

 

Day Tickets

There is no day ticket car park on Friday July 29th, please use the ample parking around Mitchelstown. You will not be able to park in the Weekend Camping Car Park.

 

On Saturday July 30th and Sunday July 31st, Day Ticket Parking will be at the Mitchelstown GAA Grounds on the Limerick Road (R513). This is well sign posted from all directions. Access for entry to this car park will be from 2pm to 9pm on both days. The car park will remain open for exiting vehicles until 4am. Parking is €10 per day. Please car pool and use public transport where possible.

 

All Drop Off

All pedestrian access, all taxi, bus and drop off is via the Business Park on the Mitchelstown side of the site and entry via gate number 2 as shown on the map. There is no pedestrian access via the Weekend Camping Car Park. There is ample space to drop off within the zone. Drop Off on the roadside, in the hard shoulder or in gateways will not be allowed, vehicles will be removed, this will be strictly enforced by An Garda Siochána.

 

Access

Gate 1: Access for all weekend ticket holders who are driving and parking for the weekend. No pedestrian traffic will be allowed access via this car park to gate 1.

Gate 2: Access for all Day Tickets, All Pedestrians, Drop Offs, Buses & Taxis. This is also the gate for exit and re-entry over the weekend of the event.

Ticket Offices

There are ticket offices located at both Gates, 1 & 2.

Opening Times;

Ticket Office Gate 1 (Camping Car Park)

Friday 29th, Midday to Midnight

Saturday 30th, 2pm to 7pm

Sunday, Closed

Ticket Office Gate 2 (Drop Off at Business Park)

Friday 29th, Midday to Midnight

Saturday 30th, 2pm to 11pm

Sunday 31st, 2pm to 10pm

 

INDIE Garden

You will collect your INDIE Garden VIP Wristband upon access to the festival, please be aware that your ticket allows you to avail of a queue skip on access, look for the lane on arrival. VIP Camping is located closest to Gate 2 but is also a relatively short walk from the main weekend camping car park. The INDIE Garden in the arena is open until midnight daily.

 

Families

Please go to the ticket office upon arrival to receive family wristbands, which allow access to family camping. You will be required to leave your contact details for use in the event that a family member gets separated from you over the weekend. Family camping is closest to Gate 2.

 

Festi Huts

You will need to produce your festival weekend tickets on arrival, you will receive a standard weekend camping wristband. When you check in at Festi Huts, they will upgrade you to an INDIE Garden VIP Wristband. Festi Huts are closest to Gate 2.

 

Camper Van Ticket Holders

Access the site via the main weekend camping car park and Gate No. 1. Please follow instructions from stewards, stay on track provided.

 

ALL DAY TICKET HOLDERS

 

Directions

Please follow the signs to the Day Ticket Parking at the Mitchelstown GAA grounds on the Limerick Road (R513). There will be no access to the weekend camping car park for day ticket holders.

 

Parking

There is no day ticket holder parking on Friday July 29th, please use the ample parking available around Mitchelstown.

On Saturday July 30th and Sunday July 31st, Day Ticket Holder parking is at the Mitchelstown GAA Grounds on the R513 (10 minutes walk to event). Please follow the signs in the area to this car park. A parking fee of €10 will apply payable upon arrival.

The Day Ticket Car Park will be open for access from 2pm to 9pm on Saturday & Sunday and will remain upon for exit only until 4am on both nights.

 

Access

Access for Day Ticket holders is via the Mitchelstown Business Park and Festival Gate number 2. There is no access via the main festival car park.

 

Ticketing

The ticket office at Gate No. 2 is open during the following hours;

Friday July 29th:         Midday to Midnight             Arena Access: 5pm

Saturday July 30th:    2pm to 11pm                         Arena Access: 3pm
